As a part of the technical and military cooperation program between the governments of Brazil and Cape Verde, and, in particular, between the Brazilian Marines and Cape Verde’s Coast Guard, Brazilian Marine Corps Commander, Admiral Júlio Soares de Moura Neto, will head a delegation that will arrive in Cape Verde today, February 29.
The high point of the visit is slated to take place tomorrow, March 1, with the signing of a protocol for the supply of uniforms to the Cape Verdean Coast Guard. The document will be signed by Neto and by Coast Guard Commander António Duarte Monteiro in Praia.
The visit by the Brazilian Marine delegation is aimed at strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two institutions. During its three-day stay in the country, the Brazilian Marine Corps commander will visit Coast Guard installations in Praia and Mindelo, and will make courtesy calls to the Minister of National Defense and the Armed Forces Chief of Staff.
