Premier breaks ground at Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance Training Center 20 July 2011
José Maria Neves, accompanied by Luxembourg’s Minister of Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Marie-Josée Jacobs, will preside this Wednesday morning over the ground-breaking ceremony at the future installations of the Renewable Energy and Industrial Maintenance Training Center in the Praia district of Palmarejo Grande.
The center will promote courses stimulating the use of bio-climactic energies, and professional training will be offered in cold-storage set-up and maintenance, electromechanical set-up and maintenance, renewable energies, the conception, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic projects, mini-wind energy systems and solar and thermal systems.
The center, the result of bilateral cooperation between Cape Verde and Luxembourg, will take 18 months to be completed.
