Halcyonair to resume operations on Monday 10 February 2012
After having cancelled all of its flights in October of 2011, private carrier Halcyonair Cabo Verde Airways will resume operations on Monday, February 13, according to a source close to the company.
“Using the same price policy, the company will once again connect the islands of Sal, Boa Vista, São Vicente, Fogo and Santiago,” guarantees the source.
Halcyonair has been grounded since October of last year, when the company owning the airline’s only operational aircraft decided not to renew the lease and took its aircraft back for lack of payment.
All controversy aside, Halcyonair will begin flying again on Monday with a single ATR aircraft. The first flight to be carried out will be between Praia and São Filipe (Fogo). The company will then fly to Sal and São Vicente on the same day.
