Language and business relations is a new major created by the University of Aveiro. Hélida explains that the internationalization of businesses and the globalization of markets makes it necessary for professionals to be more versatile, and that with knowledge of foreign cultures and languages such as English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Italian and Chinese, they may be better prepared to understand various different business rationales.

“Before I chose this major, I did some research, because the name seemed interesting, and when I realized it was perfect for me I didn’t think twice… It’s a major that responds to the needs of the market, because it combines mastery of foreign languages with mastery of business sciences,” says Hélida.

Hélida is currently in the first year of her Master’s course and says she is very happy to have this opportunity to evolve in the business world.
